Editorial & Report
When Photographs are used in annual reports, articles, news and updates etc., it is very important that the images clearly relates to the subject matter of the copy. The photographs must be credible, have a strong composition and overall communicate a clear message.
Since SKAGEN Funds is a company based on values such as common sense, Scandinavian simplicity and transparency, the photo style should be kept as authentic as possible. We do not want to show picture perfect postcards, digital amateur shots or cheap foreign stocks images. We have to relate to the reality around us, and translate it in a simple and realistic manner, rather than strained and unrealistic situations.
Colors can be saturated but not mottled, leaving a clean expression.
The photo must depict a real situation, be shot on location and clearly relate to the subject matter of the accompanying copy. Artistic and natural photographs, such as shots with high or low depth of field, can be used as long as the motif remains realistic.
Avoid photographs that are over posed, does not have an editorial feel and don’t relate well to the content.
